Creo Engine, the team behind the $CREO token, recently met with Angela Tanoesoedibjo, Vice Minister at Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, at her office. The company shared news of the meeting on 29 May 2024 and described it as a strategic move to further engage with the local government.
Prominent figures from Indonesia's blockchain industry joined the discussion, including Rob Clinton Kardinal, head of the Indonesian Video Game Association (Asosiasi Video Game Indonesia, AVGI). Creo Engine was represented by CEO Javier Tan and CTO Darrel Wijaya, who, according to the company, contributed ideas and recommendations during the session.
One theme of the conversation was the international outlook for Indonesian studios. Developers such as Nomina Games, the studio powered by Creo Engine, were described as having strong potential to succeed on the global stage by delivering high-quality Web3 games.
Government backing for the sector was another theme of the discussion. Creo Engine reported that the meeting underscored the government's commitment to supporting the growth of the creative gaming sector, with the company positioned at the forefront of that effort in Indonesia. That commitment, the company said, extends to financial assistance, sponsorships, networking opportunities, training programmes and the organisation of events.
